Business Analyst (IT)
3 year fixed term contract

Job Description

Analysis and Solution Definition
  • Identified business issues and data challenges of the organisation and industry.
  • Identified client organisation’s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Reviewed and edited requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
  • Define business requirements specification
  • Developed functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
  • Solution Design
  • Providing progress reports
  • Ensures that issues are identified, tracked, recorded and resolved in a timely manner
Technical Recommendation and Testing
  • Leads testing efforts.
  • Develops test plans
  • Reviews and finalizes testing and test results
  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Works with client personnel to identify required changes.
  • Communicates needed changes to development team.
Internal Operations
  • Identify areas for improvement in internal processes
  • Document processes, where required
  • propose areas possible solutions
Project Execution
  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Communicated and applied project standards.
  • Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
  • Delivered high-quality services to clients.
Client Management
  • Develops relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.

  • Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.

  • Sought and participated in development opportunities in addition to required training

  • Update business analysis documentation with enhancements and changes to business analysis methodologies, tools
  • Keep up to date with changes and enhancements in business analysis and apply these to the Company.
 
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-year national Diploma in ICT or related discipline
Experience
  • 5 years in a complex technology environment doing business analysis and system analysis
  • 3 years’ experience in Project Management Business Case development and SDLC design
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Mobile computing (Mobile infrastructure development/administration)
  • Experience working on messaging projects, software upgrades, architecture changes, infrastructure and implementation of new components
  • Experience of planning, creating and deploying security and device management policies to adhere to enterprise IT security policies
 
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation
  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database, business intelligence and system design.
  • Knowledge of Internet, Intranet and client/server architectures.
  • Knowledge of legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.
  • Strong Presentation Skills
