Salary Budget set at R550k p.a. Gross
Permanent employment
Performance Bonuses are discretionary and will be paid based on merit, within the stipulated group policy which includes group, business unit and personal performance
Medical aid, retirement fund and the like will be for the applicants own account.
Business travel, work cell phone and other business related expenses will be claimed on a monthly basis.
 
A laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided to the candidate to complete their roles.The successful candidate will be assigned to various key accounts and be responsible for the implementation and rollout of Company products on behalf of the customer. The successful candidate will be required to fill both account management responsibilities and a project management function during a customer implementation.   The role requires technical IT understanding, account management and project management skills. The individual would be required to guide and advise the customer as-well-as implement/maintain technical deliverables.  The individual will serve as the client’s primary contact and manage the relationship between the site and Company ensuring high service levels are maintained at all times.  The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The individual is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to his/her account, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.  The Account Manager must be able to run projects and be proactive when problems occur.  Occasional travel may be required.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Managing key accounts in the Western Cape Region
  • Assisting with providing a strategic direction with regards to EDI at the client site
  • Chair customer meetings and be the customer go to person
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly activity and statistic reports
  • Supporting and improving EDI projects implemented and being implemented at the client site
  • Understand the Company product set and be able to cross and upsell to the client
  • Resolving queries from both customer and trading partners
  • Proactive management of any possible problem areas
  • High level of initiative and work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Correct identification of customer problems, logging, escalation/resolution & feedback.
  • Proactive monitoring, identification & resolution of possible problems.
  • Co-ordinating activities with the JHB Office
  • Manage timelines against agreed project plans and resolve issues or risks which could impact the delivery of the project
  • Responsible for Functional and Technical documentation with the client
  • Managing Change Controls and all relevant project documentation
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Be able to document client requirements in a professional and understandable manner for both client and internal teams to understand
Requirements:
  • Three or more years’ experience in a related IT environment
  • Three or more years’ experience in account management\project management
  • Involvement in dynamic team with innovative thinking applied to problem solving
  • Basic understanding of Electronic Data Interchange, Web products and System Integration
  • Basic understanding of XML
  • Basic understanding of Communication protocols: FTP, Web services etc.
  • Some experience or knowledge within a programming environment
  • Experience in running client meetings and handling demanding clients
  • Preferred 3-year degree or similar qualification in IT or Business with IT Major
  • Diploma’s or courses that illustrate candidate’s ability in project management\account management
Customer Management:
  • Ability to network within a customer organization to identify all key influencers and decision makers
  • Problem Solving
  • Strategic Thinker
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions to executive management
  • Experience or exposure to the following would also be an advantage:
  • Project Management of large implementation projects
  • Exposure to system support environment
  • Programming Knowledge
  • EDI
  • Supply Chain Knowledge
