A national leading Property Investment & Development & Consulting Company based in the Northern Suburbs, Tygervalls, Cape Town is looking for a Digital Strategist to join their expanding team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing experience, digital and project management background, great understanding of digital marketing, excellent communications skills, superior audience segmentation understanding and marketing analytics acumen, and a proven ability to work independently and autonomously with cross-functional teams. This role involves working on client-side.
Work closely with the to launch key short term and long term marketing and development projects. Coordinate and Manage digital projects, and all associated processes – i.e. gathering inputs, leading prioritization meetings, communicating changes to key stakeholders, exception and escalation process, etc. Accountable for rolling out of marketing concepts, website development strategy and the development roadmap, plot dependencies, including the prioritisation of the functionality and content. Work with the internal team. Run project planning kick-off meetings. Track progress on project timelines and deliverables, re-adjusting as needed. Lead weekly production and marketing campaign meetings with stakeholders. Partner with relevant personnel to measure marketing media channel effectiveness and success metrics. Provide oversight reports of channels to improve channel health and ensure correct processes, i.e. audience targeting, are being followed. Completes monthly channel expense reports. Develop and manage processes for new digital integrations. Maintain relationships with 3rd party agencies. Key Performance Indicators:
Act as the right hand to ensure that the greater strategies are seen into reality. Monitor day-to-day activities and ensure work is progressing as planned. The candidate will have experience in driving business decision making (but will not be a key decision maker). The ability to capture business requirements for the website and marketing projects (including the context of why as well as what is required) and challenge where appropriate. The ability to distil this information into articulate briefs/requirements to internal stakeholders and third parties (including the context of why as well as what is required) and give clear feedback and direction on creative work. Manage schedules, budgets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon. Work across several projects at once. The ability to identify dependencies, and 'sit in the middle' of cross functional and cross business delivery (essentially acting as a central point of co-ordination.) Identify needs that stakeholders may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs. Manage stakeholder expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on stakeholder feedback. Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members and senior management on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly. Actively monitor project risks and scope to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them. Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvement. Proactively resolve stakeholder issues with outstanding communication. Required Education/Experience/Attitude:
Digital marketing degree Diploma in project management or equivalent advantageous. 3 years of work experience, at least 2 years of that experience in a fast-paced client-facing role. Ability to inspire people and drive a team to deliver success because they want to, not just because they have to. Sound foundation on Google Analytics and a passion for numbers. Superior oral and written communication skills Passion for digital and creating leading digital experiences The ability, to quickly learn and use complex software technology. Very high attention to detail and great organisational skills.
