Port Manager Strategic role in Rio Tinto's QIT Madagascar Mineral (QMM) division; Position with many challenges and a stimulating environment; Position based in Fort Dauphin, Madagascar About the position We are looking for a Port Manager who will be responsible for the effective implementation of standard work practices, processes and tools within QMM. For your application to be considered, the requirements are:
  • Holder of a higher certificate or university degree in relevant field. The diploma in navigation management will be considered an asset
  • Experience of at least 10 years in team management in medium and large companies
  • Experience and knowledge of the port environment will be highly regarded
  • Ability to exercise effective leadership and influence from ground and navigation personnel
  • Knowledge of port regulations and security - ISPS Code, will be considered an asset
  • Excellent ability to communicate oral and written, and ability to adapt to all levels of the organization but also with external stakeholders
  • Good command of French, Malagasy and English
  • Concerned about safety
  • Mastery of computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
